West Central Wisconsin is well poised to grow. How the region positions itself to manage particular internal and external drivers of change is important. Synergy 2008 focuses on the emergence and nurturing of an innovative economy. And, how to conceptualize innovation from a global, national, regional, and local perspective. Current research studies from across the region converge at three areas given their relative relationship to an innovative economy. These areas have become Synergy’s main topics and will be explored, at length, through dynamic engagement processes between attending participants, topical experts, and accomplished facilitator.

Synergy 2008 key topics are:
· How Will Energy Shape How We Live, Work, and Play?
· How Can We Build, Attract, and Maintain the Talented Workforce of the Future?
· How Does the Global Market Affect Growth and Opportunities for Small Businesses?

Now in its sixth annual year, Synergy has grown to become a successful forum where stakeholders come together to tackle critical issues, create partnerships, promote growth, and proactively seek solutions to the challenges of the region. With the ultimate objective of enhancing the economic, workforce and community development of west central Wisconsin, Synergy appeals to professionals from all industry sectors.
